Mid, Senior LevelEarthStream Global is seeking experienced Data Modellers with Transmission & Distribution (T&D) domain knowledge to contribute to technology upgrade projects for the US power grid. The role involves designing and maintaining data models that support critical systems across electricity networks, ensuring alignment with industry standards and stakeholder requirements.

Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models for T&D systems
Work closely with stakeholders to define data requirements and translate them into robust models
Ensure data models align with industry standards, enterprise architecture, and governance principles
Support integration of data across platforms such as SCADA, EMS/DMS, GIS, ADMS, EAM, and analytics environments
Define data entities, relationships, business rules, naming standards, and metadata
Qualification
Required
Strong experience as a Data Modeller (or similar role) in a T&D or power systems environment
Strong knowledge of data modelling techniques (ERD, dimensional modelling, normalisation)
Proven experience designing models for complex operational and asset-related datasets
Good understanding of Transmission & Distribution concepts (networks, substations, feeders, assets, switching, outages)
Experience working with relational databases (e.g. SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle)
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to translate business needs into structured models
Preferred
Experience with data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, Azure/AWS, or similar
Familiarity with master data management (MDM), data governance, and metadata tools
Experience in data migration, integration, and mapping for enterprise transformation programmes
