Sweet Sparkman Architecture & Interiors is seeking a BIM Manager to develop and maintain the Revit and project documentation infrastructure for the firm. This role involves ensuring model health and quality control, troubleshooting BIM-related challenges, and leading the implementation of BIM standards across projects.

Responsibilities
Lead the creation, ongoing refinement, and deployment of the official firm-wide Revit Templates to ensure standardization, efficiency, and adherence to Sweet Sparkman's project documentation requirements
Establish, manage, and continuously update the firm’s BIM library of parametric families and standard details, ensuring high quality, performance, and compliance with project standards
Define and document internal BIM standards, protocols, and workflows for all projects, ensuring consistent naming conventions, level of detail (LOD) requirements, and coordinate systems
Assist in the administration of projects’ BIM Execution Plan with BIM and drafting staff from consultant firms to ensure proper collaborative project setup, project positioning, and sharing/linking protocols are being maintained
Evaluate, recommend, and manage the implementation of new versions of Revit and related BIM software, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption to ongoing projects
Conduct regular audits and checks on active project models to monitor model health, file size, performance, and data integrity
Work with project leaders to perform technical reviews of drawing sets, confirming that documentation extracted from the model meets the firm's quality control standards before issuance
Oversee the proper setup and linking of models across disciplines, facilitating clash detection and inter-disciplinary coordination to proactively address geometric conflicts
Assist project teams in developing and enforcing BIM Execution Plans specific to large or complex projects, outlining project goals, required software, and deliverables
Serve as the firm's expert resource to troubleshoot complex BIM-related challenges, including resolving model errors, optimizing view template settings, and fixing problematic parametric families
Aid project teams in developing complex or highly technical Revit families and models that exceed typical project team capabilities
Develop and conduct targeted training sessions and workshops for staff at all levels to enhance their proficiency in Revit and adherence to new BIM standards and workflows
Assist project managers with the initial setup of new projects, ensuring the correct application of the firm's templates, standards, and cloud collaboration settings
Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
A highly skilled Revit user with proven experience working on large and/or complex projects
Competent with the Autodesk Construction Cloud platform, including BIM360 and Autodesk Docs
Assess/audit Revit model health
Implement Clash Detection, and work with project teams to coordinate conflict resolution internally and with consultants
Develop, tailor, and administer the BIM Execution plan
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
Minimum of five years of experience required
Ability to perform work primarily in an office, requiring prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk while utilizing a computer and telephone equipment
Ability to use a computer for extended periods for writing, editing, research, and analysis, requiring close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data, transcribing, viewing a computer monitor, and extensive reading
Ability to communicate effectively and clearly, both verbally and in writing, to exchange accurate information in person, via telephone, and through digital collaboration platforms
Ability to occasionally lift and move documents or supplies weighing up to 20 pounds (e.g., moving PC equipment, carrying research binders, setting up materials for a presentation)
Occasional requirement for local travel to attend meetings, conduct interviews, or participate in organizational events. Must be able to travel via common methods of transportation (car)
Preferred
A Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction is preferred but not required if equivalent experience is demonstrated
