Associate Director, LifeCycle Marketing
New York Cares is seeking an Associate Director of Lifecycle Marketing to enhance customer journeys throughout the entire lifecycle. This role involves shaping and executing marketing strategies, leading lifecycle marketing initiatives, and collaborating with internal teams to drive engagement and retention.

Responsibilities
Lead Lifecycle Marketing strategy and execution for New York Cares customers across all touchpoints including email, social, SMS—driving engagement and retention
Design and optimize customer journeys including segmentation, triggers, automations, and personalized content to address key pain points and improve experience
Develop and execute testing frameworks, leveraging data to measure impact, identify trends, and continuously refine campaigns
Report and recommend strategies by defining KPIs, analyzing results, and implementing plans to maximize awareness, affinity, and retention
Inform the organization’s digital content strategy to actively engage current stakeholders and prospective supporters at each lifecycle
Monitor and engage in relevant social discussions about our organization, competitors, and industry, gathering insights to enhance customer engagement and retention strategies
Coordinate cross-platform strategies in collaboration with the Marketing Specialist to ensure cohesive messaging throughout the lifecycle
Execute the organization’s lifecycle marketing-focused strategic partnership initiatives, including sourcing and developing partnerships with brands and individuals committed to the New York Cares mission
Marshal resources and manage projects to improve the lifecycle of the organization’s fundraising and donor database
Support the evolution of our website, newyorkcares.org, as a central hub for customer experience and engagement
Qualification
Required
Holds a Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of experience in marketing or customer engagement; with 3+ years focused on email and lifecycle campaign management
Strong analytical and strategic skills, able to define KPIs, optimize campaigns, and balance tactical execution with long-term strategy
Hands-on experience with CRM and marketing automation tools/systems
Proven success in developing and executing multi-channel marketing campaigns
Excellent writing, editing, and content development skills with a focus on engagement and conversion
Exhibits excellent interpersonal skills and quickly builds rapport and trust with team members at all levels; is empathetic and adept at communicating from the stakeholder's perspective
Demonstrates strong organization and project management skills, with a keen focus on customer lifecycle strategies
Brings initiative and innovation; consistently incorporates new perspectives, thoughtfulness, and imagination into the work, actively seeking novel solutions
Is solutions-driven, a problem solver with the ability to work toward win/win outcomes
Demonstrates the ability to research and synthesize data from various sources to reach objective conclusions and inform strategic decision-making
Exhibits solid business acumen, is knowledgeable of New York Cares (its history, position, priorities, and programming), and stays abreast of industry trends
Is culturally competent, engaging individuals from diverse backgrounds

A graduate degree or related certification is a plus
