Responsibilities
Maintains electrical utility environment of the facility
Installs, services, tests and maintains lighting systems, power distribution circuits, equipment and appliances
Assures electrical safety compliance
Participates in planning management and performance of construction/renovation projects involving electrical systems
Qualification
Required
High school or vocation school graduation as well as completion of a formal electrician apprenticeship program
Must possess a minimum of a Journeymen's electrician license
Must have a minimum of three (3) years experience in construction, installation and maintenance of electrical equipment and systems at Journeymen's or Master level
Must be familiar with local building codes and their relationship to hospital requirements
Previous vendor interaction in developing specifications and appropriate equipment purchases
Ability to be customer focused
Ability to manage and support electrical equipment and distribution systems for the facility
Ability to read and interpret electrical plans (blueprints)
Ability to develop single line electrical plans
Ability to plan and estimate projects
Ability to provide support to vendor interaction
Ability to operate office equipment such as a calculator, telephone and photocopier
Preferred
Maryland Master Electrician license
