Responsibilities
Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and automated test procedures for embedded avionics software
Perform functional, integration, and system‑level testing in accordance with DO‑178B/C guidelines
Conduct requirements‑based testing (unit, integration, and system)
Perform structural coverage analysis , including MC/DC, as required by DO‑178B/C
Validate software behavior against requirements, architecture, and design specifications
Document test results, anomalies, and compliance reports for certification deliverables
Collaborate with software development, systems engineering, and quality assurance teams to resolve defects and ensure compliance
Qualification
Required
Hands‑on experience working with DO‑178B/C aerospace software standards
Strong understanding of software development and verification lifecycle processes
Proficiency with requirements management tools such as IBM DOORS
Experience using scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl) for test automation
Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems
Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Git, SVN, ClearCase)
Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Ability to work in cross‑functional teams
Detail‑oriented mindset with a focus on compliance and quality
Preferred
Exposure to model‑based development using MATLAB/Simulink
Working knowledge of aerospace communication protocols such as ARINC 429, ARINC 661, CAN
Familiarity with test automation frameworks and embedded debugging tools
