Responsibilities
Engages first- and second-year students, fostering engagement and supporting their academic and personal success
Develops strategic partnerships with student organizations and campus partners to create engagement opportunities and foster meaningful connections
Leads strategic planning and goal-setting initiatives and recommends improvements to enhance program effectiveness
Assists with Adulting 101, a multi-departmental initiative for all students that teaches essential life skills and career-ready competencies
Coordinates use of the Owl Life student engagement platform to promote events, track participation, and ensure compliance with university and divisional standards
Provides support for other divisional priorities and initiatives, as requested
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in related field
Three (3) years of related work experience
Ability to successfully interact with individuals/groups from an array of backgrounds, identities, experiences, and communication styles
Ability to recognize and protect confidential information and exercise judgment, tact, and diplomacy in handling sensitive information and situations
Ability to work as a contributing member in a team-oriented environment, successfully interacting with internal and external colleagues and partners
Proficiency in student engagement platforms and event management software
Preferred
An advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field
Experience with student activities, event coordination/planning, and student advising
Demonstrated experience with student development frameworks
Experience working in higher education and student affairs environments
