Responsibilities

Conducting experiments in rodents to test the role of the thalamus in memory function. This will involve rodent handling, surgery and behavioral training; histological processing and imaging of brain tissue
Maintaining accurate records of experiments and collected data
Assists with laboratory maintenance, ordering laboratory supplies
Helps maintain a collaborative, clean, and safe workplace and assists with other experimental and lab related duties as required

Required

High School or equivalent
Strong organizational and management skills
Capable of organizing and managing data and documentation
Providing technical support for laboratory projects
Exceptional interpersonal skills and a motivation to excel in a collaborative research environment

Preferred

Experience in neuroscience research with animals is preferred
