Responsibilities
Engineer service support in the integration of new software, products and technologies into existing lab equipment platforms of third-party labs to successfully manufacture lenses made with any of the IOT technologies
Setting up and configuring new optical lens designs for customers
Troubleshooting and resolution of software and production process deviations and issues
Quality control of ophthalmic lens production in optical labs:
Surfacing department QC
Coating department QC
Process Improvement service to optical laboratories
Collaborate from a technical perspective in the management of IOT customers (optical labs) with the sales and marketing teams of the company that work with the same accounts
Interdepartmental collaboration for multiple projects and tasks:
Collaboration with the commercial team developing new strategies
Communication and collaboration with development teams to resolve software incidences
Availability to travel in North America to visit customers and partners
Consulting, customer service (not sales) and training customers
Be responsible for maintaining a relationship with the customers and supporting all their needs
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Chemical, Mechanical, Optical Engineering or related field
5 years of previous process engineering experience in manufacturing laboratories of ophthalmic lenses
Advance Computer skills
Customer needs focused
Able to set priorities, quickly adopt to change and learn continuously
Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment, both independently and with a team
Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships across disciplines and with multiple levels of management
Strong communication and technical skills
Self-motivated, well organized, and able to work independently
Available to travel
