Responsibilities

Serve as a technical expert and specialist in structural engineering design
Provide critical structural engineering expertise and guidance on a wide range of both military and civil works projects
Function as a technical specialist within the Design Branch, independently developing and reviewing structural designs
Provide expert advice to resolve complex engineering problems
Ensure projects meet all technical standards and requirements
Work with a variety of stakeholders and conduct field inspections

Required

Bachelor's degree in Engineering
One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Experience performing structural inspections and reviews; AND 2) Experience managing structural engineering projects or programs; AND 3) Experience designing projects that meet appropriate codes and technical standards
All positions require the applicant to be a citizen of the United States
Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, are required to register for Selective Service prior to appointment
A trial or probationary period may be required
Direct deposit of pay is required
This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of up to 25% of the time
This position requires that the incumbent possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles
This position requires the following training/certifications prior to employment or within a specified period of time after appointment: Professional Engineer license
