Sr DG Sales Manager
LONGi Solar is a leading company in the solar energy sector, and they are seeking a Senior DG Sales Manager to drive revenue growth and expand their distributed generation business in the U.S. market. The role involves strategic business development, channel management, and market intelligence to enhance LONGi’s presence in the residential and commercial solar segments.
Responsibilities
Lead domestic DG market development, including customer acquisition, relationship management, and retention
Identify and secure new business opportunities; expand distribution networks and key account portfolios
Achieve sales targets, collection goals, and ensure sustainable business growth
Conduct regular in-person meetings with customers to maintain strong partnerships and identify growth opportunities
Collaborate closely with fulfillment, logistics, and operations teams to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction
Participate in co-op marketing events, trade shows, and industry conferences to promote the LONGi brand and generate leads
Provide accurate forecasting and performance reporting aligned with KPIs and build plans
Identify and develop potential residential and small C&I customer resources
Build and maintain strong partnerships with qualified distributors and installers
Monitor and follow up on channel activities to drive revenue, market share, and customer loyalty
Conduct market research and competitor benchmarking to guide strategic decision-making
Track DG market dynamics, including pricing trends, import/export developments, and new market entrants
Work cross-functionally with Product Management and Marketing teams to optimize product positioning and go-to-market strategies
Support the DG Business Unit on strategic initiatives and special projects
Foster effective internal communication between U.S. and HQ teams
Promote a culture of accountability, adaptability, and positive engagement
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, Renewable Energy, Business, or a related field
Minimum 7 years of sales, business development, or account management experience
Work experience with PV manufacturing companies is highly preferred, with established relationships with major solar distributors in the market
Deep understanding of the U.S. PV market, including key players, industry trends, and competitive landscape
Proven ability to manage the full sales cycle—from lead generation and tender preparation to deal with negotiation and closure
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence decision-makers and manage stakeholders
Highly organized, self-motivated, and results-driven with strong program and project management skills
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and CRM tools
Preferred
Work experience with PV manufacturing companies is highly preferred, with established relationships with major solar distributors in the market
