Director, Advisor & Growth Strategy

The Director of Advisor Growth & Succession is responsible for driving advisor recruitment, succession planning, and platform adoption, acting as a strategic partner to both prospective and existing advisors.

Responsibilities

Proactively identify, source, and recruit external advisors and advisory teams that align with the firm’s culture, business model, and growth objectives
Facilitate advisor succession opportunities by identifying acquisition-oriented advisors to purchase the practices of retiring advisors
Identify retiring external advisors seeking to sell their practices and match them with existing advisors focused on growth and expansion
Serve as a strategic “matchmaker” by evaluating candidates based on production, business philosophy, personality, and long-term fit
Guide both buyer and seller through early-stage transition planning, including deal structure considerations and initial integration support
Act as a dedicated relationship manager and advocate for advisors, ensuring they are effectively utilizing the firm’s technology, resources, and support services
Proactively identify retention risks and partner with internal teams to resolve platform, service, or operational challenges
Provide practice management consulting to advisors, helping them leverage firm resources and advisory platforms to improve efficiency, scalability, and growth

Required

7+ years of experience in advisor recruiting, advisor experience, practice management, business development, or a related financial services role
Strong understanding of advisor business models, succession planning, and practice transitions
Comfortable consulting with advisors on technology platforms and operational workflows
Exceptional relationship-building skills with advisors and industry partners
High degree of professionalism, discretion, and sound business judgment
FINRA Series 7, 24 and 66 (or 65)
