Sr. Manager Material Program Manager

They are seeking a Sr. Manager Material Program Manager to develop cost reduction strategies and manage supplier relationships within the Short Medium Ground Air Defense product area. The role involves collaboration with various teams to ensure effective execution of material management strategies and participation in proposal activities.

Responsibilities
Developing a material cost reduction strategy for a development product line, working closely with the matrix organization to execute the material cost reduction strategy
Principles, concepts, industry practices and standards related to MRP planning systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle and other next generation ERP systems)
Working closely with Program Management, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), Engineering, Quality, Production Control and Procurement to ensure successful supplier management and execution in supporting program needs and requirements
Master Data, MRP Scheduling and Material Sales Forecasting
Customer Proposal generation
Develop and execute Material Strategies which support Customer requirements and meet Program objectives
Generating Supplier Request for Proposals / Quotes (RFP’s / RFQ’s)
Financial management (i.e., EV, budgets, targets, working capital, proposals, material sales forecasts, etc.); overall ownership of the supplier management process (i.e., Supplier Risk/Opportunity Management Plan, supplier performance, metrics, international issues, develop/evaluate the make/buy strategy, the Collaborative Agreement process, etc.), and communication of customer flow-through requirements such as FAR/DFARS, ITAR, offset, public law, quality, warranty, etc
The MPM may act as the Control Account Manager
Issue/Conflict resolution within organizations, between organizations and with suppliers
Generate and manage Estimate At Completion (EAC) and Risk & Opportunities
Willingness to Travel Domestically/Internationally, as required
Qualification
Required
Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience
Experience in developing Supply Chain strategies for cost reduction
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Preferred
Advanced Supply Chain Planning tools (i.e. SAP, Kinaxis RapidResponse)
Advanced Microsoft Office skillset
