Responsibilities
Researches, writes, and manages the editorial review process for personalized major gift proposals and stewardship/impact reports for donors and prospects across the Heersink School of Medicine
Develops, writes and oversees production for other fundraising and marketing collateral, including annual reports, appeals, one-pagers, brochures, website copy, and special project materials
Partners with a graphic designer to align creative direction on select projects, ensuring that photography and design enhance and support the content
Conducts interviews with faculty, students, alumni, and campus partners to gather accurate and compelling content
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, English, or related field
Minimum of five (5) years in publishing, writing, and editing
Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirements
Preferred
Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills
Strong verbal and written communication abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with AP Style preferred
Excellent project and time management skills
Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines, quality, and accuracy
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues across the organization
