Controller
San Andreas Regional Center (SARC) is a community-based nonprofit dedicated to supporting individuals with developmental disabilities. The Controller will work closely with the Chief Financial Officer to ensure the completeness and accuracy of the fiscal activities for the agency.

Responsibilities
Coordinate and direct the four major responsibility centers of the accounting department; Purchase of Service, Client Trust, Operations and General ledger
Direct the preparation of reports to meet auditing, administrative and contractual needs, such as the State Claim information, reconciliation of bank statements, preparation of financial statements and other Agency accountability systems
Responsible for cash flow analysis including monitoring receivables and ensuring funds are available at all times to pay vendors
Monitor Operations budget and allocation to ensure that overspending does not occur
Analyze POS transactions to provide accurate projections to DDS, the board and the Executive team
Interpret guidelines, regulations, policies and procedures relating to agency fiscal matters
Review and approve vendor audit reports, monitor progress of DDS vendor audit requirements
Manage issues related to bond compliance
Assist in budget planning and preparation
Review and approve required fiscal State reports
Act as a technical resource to agency management on matters pertaining to fiscal activities
Support CFO by providing timely financial information for decision making purposes
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree with concentration in accounting, finance or related field
Five to ten years of progressive accounting experience (i.e. data analysis, financial reporting and process improvement), preferably in a nonprofit setting; two (2) of which include supervisory experience
Demonstrated ability to manage projects and meet strict deadlines
Ability to create and present information to a variety of audiences
Excellent written and oral communications skills and ability to establish good working relationships with all sections of the company required
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting procedures; budgeting and auditing principles, practices and procedures; ability to apply and adopt fiscal and accounting theories to a variety of accounting transactions and problems; ability to design, develop and refine accounting procedures
Preferred
Knowledge of non-profit and regional center processes and procedures a plus
