Responsibilities

Provide accounting support for S&T operating units; including answering policy and accounting practice questions from the entire S&T employee base, transaction enablement & issue resolution
Leads the month end spending review process with S&T capabilities, preparing compliance-mandated materials, performing variance analysis and leading spend review meetings
Supports the month end closing process: journal entries, reporting, account reconciliations and certain SOX tasks
Supports department and expense projects workflows
Supports expense project maintenance
Performs intercompany billings and accruals
Provides backup for S&T capital processes
Projects involved with:
Process improvement projects for team effectiveness & efficiency
Assist with data collection and entry for Budget

Required

Bachelor Degree and/or relevant experience in Accounting/Finance
Strong accounting, control, analysis and problem solving skills
Corning Incorporated Accounting Policies and GAAP accounting knowledge

Intermediate Excel skills (v/hlookup, pivot table, IF/AND/OR/SUMIF functions)
Open minded, creative at establishing new processes
Demonstrates ability to serve as a systems resource to answer questions from Finance and non-Finance audiences
