Head of Creative Studio

Responsibilities
Lead and grow Marino’s Creative Studio, overseeing design, video, social, and influencer creative work across the agency
Drive the overall health, growth, and retention of enterprise client accounts with integrated Creative Studio services, serving as a senior client liaison and strategic advisor
Partner with business development and unit leaders to market, position, and distribute Creative Studio service offerings, including educating internal teams to support effective selling
Manage day-to-day priorities, workflows, and resourcing for the creative team
Design and produce creative assets in support of both internal agency needs and client deliverables
Support everyday creative projects including digital ads, landing pages, websites, brochures, social media graphics, brand assets, packaging, event collateral, and other marketing materials
Work closely with PR, Intelligence, earned, social media, and influencer teams to develop integrated content and campaigns
Provide creative input and leadership across marketing, PR, and advertising campaigns
Partner with the paid advertising team to develop creative for performance-driven campaigns
Oversee video and social video production; experience with video and animation is strongly preferred
Work with outside photographers, videographers, developers, and other vendors as needed
Understand clients’ business objectives and maintain a working knowledge of the industries Marino serves
Take a lead role in the creation of new concepts, designs, and campaign ideas for both existing clients and new business pitches
Frame and drive a creative vision for clients from concept through execution
Craft creative storytelling solutions to solve clients’ communication challenges
Present creative ideas internally and externally to clients
Manage the day-to-day operations of the department, including budgets, timelines, workflows, and resource planning
Track time and manage team utilization using agency tools
Assist in mentoring, developing, and cultivating junior creative staff
Build and maintain relationships with external vendors and creative partners
Remain current on industry trends, tools, and techniques and share relevant insights with the team
Qualification
Required
Strong desire and ability to help build and lead a creative department
Proven track record of originating, leading, and completing creative campaigns
Proven track record working across client-facing roles
10+ years of experience in design, creative, or agency environments, with leadership experience preferred
Bachelor's degree in graphic design or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Strong portfolio demonstrating creative thinking, design craft, and campaign execution
Comfortable tackling problems head-on and adapting to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop); familiarity with Canva
Comfortable working with Microsoft business tools
Open to using AI tools as part of the creative process, with an understanding that creativity leads and tools support
In-office three days a week
Preferred
Video editing, motion graphics, or animation experience
Familiarity with web design and development, including platforms such as Shopify, WordPress, Framer, or Prismic
Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, or web typography
