Responsibilities
Own hardware designs from Concept → CAD → prototype → production
Lead fit, finish, and performance mechanical designs
Design for manufacturing: machining, injection molding, assembly, and die casting
Run FEA, and reliability testing
Create detailed GD&T drawings and assembly documents for production
Some electrical engineering work related to wire routing, battery management systems, battery monitoring systems and more
Hands on building with fabrication tools
Qualification
Required
Bachelors or Masters in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
5+ years experience designing products and complex mechanical systems
Experience bringing products to market
Expert CAD skills
Experience in machining, injection molding, die casting, and assembly
Expert GD&T knowledge
Solid understanding of FEA
Hands-on experience with prototypes, shop tools, and bringing hardware to life
Preferred
Experience at a large consumer product firm is a plus (2 years +)
Fusion is a bonus
Exposure to electrical engineering is a big plus
