Responsibilities
Participating in the examinations of State licensed credit unions conducted in accordance with the Uniform Financial Institutions Rating System and the applicable State and Federal laws and regulations
May be assigned either as a team member or lead Examiner In Charge (EIC) and is responsible for reporting their conclusions in a memorandum of their assigned area or in a Report of Examination
As EIC, the FIE coordinates the work of examiners assigned to an examination, and reviews and edits work paper and report comments of other examiners
Assists with or conducts examination fieldwork and exit meetings with management of licensees and/or affiliates
Qualification
Required
Equivalent to graduation from college with a specialization in accounting, business administration, economics, finance, or a related business/management specialization
Completion of a prescribed professional accounting curriculum given by a residence or correspondence school of accountancy, including courses in elementary and advanced or intermediate accounting, auditing, cost accounting, and business law
Completion of the equivalent of 16 semester hours of professional accounting courses given by a collegiate-grade residence institution, including courses in elementary and advanced or intermediate accounting, auditing, and cost accounting; and three semester hours of business law
