Responsibilities
Represent Calico Wallpaper with professionalism and enthusiasm
Proactively identify and engage potential clients through outreach, networking, and industry events
Conduct product presentations that highlight design, craftsmanship, and applications tailored to client needs
Follow up on leads promptly, prepare estimates, negotiate terms, and close sales effectively
Analyze market trends and client feedback to identify opportunities for growth
Manage and expand both new and existing business to achieve and exceed sales goals
Maintain Calico’s presence in client libraries and ensure materials are current
Provide sales collateral—including brochures, digital assets, and samples—and process all sample orders efficiently to ensure timely delivery and client satisfaction
Deliver an outstanding client experience through responsive and professional communication
Confirm sample and order requests, send estimates and invoices, and ensure accurate follow-through from quote to payment
Collaborate with Sales Support to maintain consistent service and resolve client needs swiftly
Submit weekly call reports and participate in team meetings to share insights, challenges, and successes
Represent Calico Wallpaper at regional trade shows, design markets, and industry events
Support event setup and client engagement, demonstrating deep product knowledge
Build and maintain strong relationships with designers, architects, and industry influencers to expand visibility and generate new business
Qualification
Required
Minimum 7 years of textile or wallcovering sales experience
Energetic, positive, and solutions-oriented attitude
Proven ability to work effectively within a team
Strong attention to detail with excellent follow-through
Strong ability to identify and act on growth opportunities
Responsive, service-driven mindset
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in MS Office, Google Suite, and ERP/CRM systems
Reliable transportation, internet, and ability to travel for client visits and trade events
