The Director of Engineering for Hyperscale Data Center Infrastructure will lead multidisciplinary engineering efforts across a rapidly expanding portfolio of data center projects, ensuring technical coherence and optimizing execution, scalability, and operational reliability.

Responsibilities
Define and implement the company's engineering strategy in alignment with development and operational goals
Act as the senior technical authority across all data center projects
Partner with the Chief Development Officer to translate strategic vision into engineering directives
Manage and lead a team of Engineering Managers across various disciplines: electrical, mechanical, civil, structural, and specialty systems
Develop and maintain engineering standards, design guidelines, and reference architectures
Ensure design integration and discipline alignment across concept, schematic, and detailed design stages
Oversee the coordination between internal teams and external EORs, ensuring constructible designs aligned with execution schedules
Manage relationships with Engineers of Record and specialty consultants, defining scopes and ensuring accountability
Collaborate with procurement, project management, and operations to align designs with supply chain and operational readiness
Drive the evolution of engineering standards, supporting fast-track construction and cost predictability
Ensure cross-functional collaboration to support technical decision-making organization-wide
Qualification
Required
15–20+ years of experience in engineering leadership and data center or mission-critical infrastructure design
Deep technical expertise in one or more core disciplines, with electrical or mechanical preferred
Proven experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams and external consultants
Strong understanding of hyperscale data center architectures, including power and cooling systems
Demonstrated success in fast-track and design-build environments
Experience in developing reference designs and modular, scalable platforms
Exposure to utility coordination, interconnection design, and commissioning processes
Execution-minded, collaborative, and comfortable challenging assumptions at senior levels
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
Preferred
Direct experience with HPC, AI/ML, or crypto data centers is strongly preferred
PE license preferred but not required
Professional Engineering (PE) license is strongly preferred
