Mechanical Engineer I (Onsite)

They are seeking an entry level Mechanical Engineer I to design and build sophisticated testing solutions for product engineering, manufacturing, and repair depots, while working closely with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities
Design ownership of product life-cycle including initial concept through production and qualification support
Perform engineering calculations to determine the size and strength of components
Solve design problems and check computations contributing to analytical designs
Prepare, modify and release drawings created in CAD (Siemens NX) to verify fit, form and function of mechanical designs
Utilize engineering tools such as FMEAs, FEA and DFMA to validate design content
Evaluate materials and parts for use in new designs including communicating with current and new suppliers
Operate in a team environment with other functional areas providing input to design solutions and participate in design reviews
Qualification
Required
Requires a Bachelor's degree and 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships)
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Preferred
Experience in design using Siemens NX or other 3D CAD software
Take ownership of task completion
Experience working with Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) principles
Experience working with Teamcenter or other Product Data Manager (PDM) Tools
Possess self-motivation and effective oral/written communication
Troubleshooting skills and ability to locate and isolate problems
Presentation skills – ability to prepare and present project / technical information
Microsoft Office or Google office tools suite experience
