Sales Manager – Produced Water Management & Treatment (Permian Basin)
MYCELX® Technologies Corp. is seeking a high-performing Sales Manager to drive commercial growth in the Permian Basin. The role focuses on building customer relationships and developing treatment programs to improve water quality and reduce operational costs through equipment sales and service contracts.

Responsibilities
Own and execute a territory growth plan focused on water midstream companies and mid-tier operators
Identify, qualify, and close opportunities for:
Produced water treatment/polishing equipment and packages
Rentals, mobile/temporary treatment solutions, and service agreements
Develop relationships with decision-makers including:
Midstream commercial teams, operations managers, and asset integrity leads
Operator facilities/production engineers, water teams, and procurement
Drive sales across key use cases such as:
Produced water recycling for frac
Pipeline and transfer spec compliance
Beneficial re-use pre-treatment optimization
Protecting downstream assets (pumps, filters, membranes, injection wells)
Maintain a strong presence in the field—regular site visits and commercial touchpoints
Partner with operations/technical teams to ensure successful deployments and customer satisfaction
Present solutions using a combination of a value-proposition and ROI based approach
Oil recovery performance
Reduced chemical consumption and operational downtime
Improved recycle quality and reduced disposal costs
Asset protection and reliability
Translate customer water quality objectives into a treatment program proposal and scope
Provide market feedback to internal teams on competitive activity, pricing, and customer needs
Build and maintain an accurate CRM pipeline, lead development and management, and forecasts
Work with EVP of Business development to develop effective business model and service agreements:
MSAs, service agreements, and pricing structures
Long-term supply/media programs
Rental terms and performance expectations
Collaborate internally to coordinate:
Equipment mobilization, field service scheduling, and technical support
Project execution and customer onboarding
Qualification
Required
5+ years of sales experience in one or more of the following: Produced water treatment systems, Water midstream services / produced water management, Oilfield process equipment + services, Chemical programs that include equipment/service integration
Strong understanding of Permian Basin water handling workflows and constraints: Recycling/reuse needs, SWD, transfer specs, and operational realities
Demonstrated success selling a solutions + recurring revenue model, such as: Media/consumables programs, Performance-based treatment services, Equipment + service bundles
Proven ability to close complex deals involving multiple stakeholders (commercial + operations + engineering + procurement)
Comfort operating independently in a territory with strong field presence
Valid driver's license and ability to travel frequently across the Permian
Preferred
Experience selling technologies comparable to: Media-based adsorption and polishing systems, Hydrocarbon removal skids and polishing units, Regeneration or exchange programs (service-based recurring model)
Established relationships with Permian water midstream providers and mid-tier operators
Familiarity with produced water quality metrics and customer targets (e.g., oil-in-water, TSS, organics)
Technical degree (engineering preferred) or equivalent practical experience
