Division Budget Coordinator

The California Franchise Tax Board is seeking a Division Budget Coordinator who will perform analytical duties to support the Financial and Executive Services Division budget and expenditures. The role involves planning, development, implementation, and coordination of activities related to resource management.

Responsibilities

Independently performs analytical duties to complete the work assignments that support the Financial and Executive Services Division (FESD) budget and expenditures
Provides guidance and support in the planning, development, implementation, and coordination of activities associated with Personal Services and Operation Expense & Equipment (OE&E) resource management
Communicates professionally, clearly, and concisely in writing and verbally
Serves as the backup analyst for the Administrative Services Division (ASD) as needed

Required

Effective written and verbal communication skills
Possess customer service skills and the ability to resolve customer issues
Works well under short time frames
Ability to manage and shift priorities and/or workloads to meet quick turnaround time frames
Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and in a team environment
Ability to use quantitative skills and analyze data to prepare reports, tables, and charts that present results of analysis
Meet with and obtain the cooperation of program units and internal staff
Follow procedures, complete tasks, and meet deadlines
Maintain flexibility and adapt to changing priorities
Ability to gather and analyze data and develop financial reports independently
Experience in Accounting and Financial services
Knowledge of Franchise Tax Board's (FTB) organization, budgeted programs, and operations
Knowledge of FTB Budget process
Knowledge of Fi$Cal system or other related systems
Knowledge of the interrelationships between FTB Divisions and their business processes and program activities
Experience With Position Control, Payroll, Or Other Personnel Systems
Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
Ability to be positive, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and flexible
