Operations Program Managers
University of Utah Health Research is seeking a new Operations Program Manager for the Division of Pediatric Surgery. This role involves planning, organizing, directing, and controlling customer service, human resource, and financial management operations within the department.

Responsibilities
Forecasts, develops and implements policies and procedures in the areas of customer service, human resources and budgetary goals and objectives that are consistent with University of Utah’s policies
Markets and promotes new and existing programs and services to internal and external customers
Participates in University-wide committees to establish customer service standards and administrative plans and policies
Facilitates cooperative and collaborative community and institutional relationships
Ensures customer satisfaction by analyzing complaints, concerns and suggestions and providing appropriate follow-through
Develops departmental strategies consistent with the assigned departments continuous quality improvement program
Ensures competency of staff through the development and/or presentation of educational programs and through on going staff performance evaluations
Oversee strategic coordination and management of the division’s call and clinical schedules for 14 providers across three locations, ensuring optimal coverage, operational efficiency, and high‑quality patient access
Lead monthly financial reviews by analyzing division management reports to ensure accuracy of revenue, expenditures, and fund allocations; proactively identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions
Manage, develop, and support a diverse, multidisciplinary team—including clinical, administrative, and research staff—by fostering collaboration, enhancing performance, and promoting a positive, inclusive work
Qualification
Required
1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (Example: bachelor's degree = 4 years of directly related work experience)
Operations Program Manager, III: Requires a bachelor's (or equivalency) + 6 years or a master's (or equivalency) + 4 years of directly related work experience
Preferred
Four or more years in a supervisor/manager role
Accounting experience
Experience in a healthcare setting
