Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to support scientific activities in neuroscience projects. The role involves analyzing large-scale Omics data to enhance research capacity in neuropsychiatric and neurodegenerative disorders, utilizing AI-powered data-driven drug discovery techniques.

Responsibilities

Conceive, develop, and implement analytical solutions to high-priority scientific projects
Continuous engagement and participation with scientists across Janssen to foster scientific collaborations and building a carrier network
Analyze the large-scale genetics, proteomics, and other omics data modalities using the advances statistical and computational methods
Publish findings in top-tier journals and conferences

Required

Ph.D. in quantitative fields – Computer Science, Biostatistics, Computational Biology, Systems Biology, Bioinformatics, Statistical Genetics, or related fields
Strong publication record in the relevant areas
Prior experience with machine learning models, e.g. multi-task learning, (un)supervised clustering, applied to biological problems is required
Proficient in programming languages such as R/Python, bash, SQL, etc. and familiarity with high performance computing platforms
Experience with multi-omics data integration, especially network analysis
Excellent written and oral communication skills, and ability to effectively communicate technical findings with stakeholders
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred

Experience/knowledge of neuropsychiatric and neurodegenerative diseases is a plus
Experience with bulk/single-cell transcriptomics, high-throughput proteomics is preferred

Benefits

Vacation –120 hours per calendar year
Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado –48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington –56 hours per calendar year
Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays –13 days per calendar year
