Responsibilities
Perform walk-downs and check-out with P & ID’s
Develop punch-list with responsibilities and completion dates assigned. Note: Upon satisfactory completion/acceptance of walk-down and proper turnover, the Technical Advisor is released
Responsible for testing and inspection of mechanical equipment supplied by VPI
Responsible to see that mechanical adjustments are made
Work with customers to verify VPI supplied instrumentation is operational
Work with customers to verify loop testing of VPI supplied controls is complete
Work with customers and/or contractor during boil-out and/or acid cleaning and steam blows
Responsible for first instrument setting of VPI supplied equipment
Verify that all VPI supplied equipment is ready for initial operation and functional testing
Monitor VPI supplied equipment during reliability run
The Commissioning Engineer works according to the project related O&M and training manuals
Support Central Engineering department during performance testing
Perform other duties as directed by the Director of Construction
Qualification
Required
BS in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum five (5) years experience in the operation of multi-pressure level HRSGs with reheat
Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills required
Must exhibit a broad understanding of heat transfer, thermodynamics and fluid mechanics as they apply to the equipment supplied by Vogt Power International
Must be able to establish and maintain customer relationships at a high level
Must have or be able to obtain a valid passport and be willing to travel frequently and on short notice
