Responsibilities

Manage a complex program or multiple mid-level programs; generally without assistance
Develop and implement program plans, budgeting positions, schedules, and execution strategy
Perform specific, routine program or technical tasks within defined scope of management responsibility
Perform program/technical management for assigned system(s)
Perform tasks at all phases of system lifecycle to include: concept development, design, fabrication, test, manufacturing/production, sustainment, and disposal
Interpret and apply acquisition policy with competence
Apply and correlate knowledge of multiple disciplines (engineering, logistics, financial management, contracting, and configuration management) to achieve cohesive program execution in accordance with assigned cost, schedule & performance requirements
Convert customer or product/technical requirements into solutions that recognize technical, schedule, and cost constraints
Identify associated risks and manage mitigation plans
Provide higher management with status and decision information on key program issues
Ensure all program stakeholders have access to program related charge codes Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints; identifies and quantifies associated risks
Ensure contractual needs/concerns are addressed
Ensure timely and accurate submission of all reports/deliverables
Participate in company program reviews
Communicate cost, schedule, and performance with management
Provide necessary solutions, generally without assistance
Support proposal and pricing efforts as required
Present and defend program position at program reviews and conferences as needed
Participate in company program reviews
Perform technical oversight
Serve as Capture Manager for various Request for Proposal (RFP) efforts with responsibility for coordination between all stakeholders including technical team, management team, quality and financial teams
Other duties as assigned
Execute personnel-related activities to include
Create realistic and accurate job descriptions
Direct employee workload to ensure productivity and performance against job description
Engage to manage positive employee relations and workplace atmosphere; work to resolve any
Conduct ongoing feedback - both informal and semiannual feedback, counseling if necessary
Advise management as to which employees deserve recognition including but not limited to raises, promotions and awards
Manage accuracy of employee timecards
Ensure employees receive and perform any required training for both position and company needs
Guide employees to ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies/processes
Serve as link between upper management and employees; disseminate company information as appropriate - goals/changes/updates/news
Co-ordinate with Director and/or VP on corporate matters
Other manager duties as assigned

Bachelor's Degree in technical, business, or related field required
5+ years of Program Management or associated experience with Government or Industry
Must be a US citizen
Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required
Able to occasionally reach with hands and arms
Prolonged periods of computer screen use, while sitting or standing at a desk
Adhere to safety protocols when in work areas requiring use of PPE (e.g. eyewear, gloves, masks, hearing protection, steel toed shoes, etc.)
Able to safely lift and carry up to 20 pounds at a time

Preferred

Department of Defense Acquisition (DAU) PM certification, PMP, or degree in Program Management or equivalent is highly desired
