Business Development – IT Staffing (Financial Services)
81 North is a leading national technology services and staffing firm with over 30 years of success supporting Fortune 500 clients. They are seeking a Senior Account Executive to drive business development efforts across enterprise financial services clients, leveraging established relationships to identify and grow new opportunities.
Responsibilities
Drive business development efforts across enterprise financial services clients in the Chicago region and nationally
Leverage relationships within Discover, Capital One, Northern Trust, BMO, Citadel, and other major financial institutions to identify and grow new opportunities
Manage the full sales cycle — from prospecting and client engagement to proposal delivery, negotiation, and account expansion
Partner closely with recruiting and delivery teams to ensure client satisfaction and consistent quality of service
Stay informed on industry trends, client initiatives, and the competitive landscape to position solutions effectively
Qualification
Required
Proven success in IT staffing or consulting sales, ideally focused on enterprise financial or fintech accounts
Existing relationships at Discover, Capital One, Northern Trust, BMO, Citadel, or comparable institutions strongly preferred
Experience selling both IT staffing and SOW (project-based) services
No active non-compete restrictions preventing client re-engagement
Entrepreneurial, results-driven, and highly self-motivated — able to thrive in a flexible, remote structure
Excellent communication, relationship management, and negotiation skills
