Solutions Engineer (Parchment)

They are seeking an experienced Solutions Engineer to partner with Account Executives, guiding prospective customers in evaluating their Parchment solutions and acting as a key technical advisor for the sales team.

Responsibilities
Deliver simple but engaging product demonstrations of Parchment’s suite of services for all verticals, including Higher Ed and K-12
Discover and analyze individual customer goals and challenges to map them back to the appropriate Parchment product
Lead in-depth technical discussions with IT experts regarding platform architecture, web services (REST/JSON), and systems integration
Identify or develop solutions to address unique technical requirements and thoughtfully consider alternatives to arrive at the best recommendations
Understand and document customer requirements to support successful implementation, and assist proposal managers with technical elements of RFI/RFP responses
Partner with Product Management to provide early feedback on features to ensure alignment with customer expectations
Leverage prior experience to help the sales team achieve goals through mentorship, recruiting, onboarding, and sales enablement activities
Work across geographies and with distributed teams in pursuit of company objectives
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required with proven academic technology and/or solutions engineering experience
Experience in K-12 and/or Postsecondary education with expert fluency in the edtech market and SaaS business models
Expert understanding of systems integration (LTI, APIs), XML/JSON, and relational databases
Familiarity with Student Information Systems such as Oracle PeopleSoft, Ellucian, Workday, or PowerSchool
Proficiency in Salesforce, Responsive, and both Microsoft and Google Suites
Articulate and compelling presentation skills with the ability to be both empathetic and firm regarding system capabilities
Organized, analytical, and self-motivated; able to handle a high volume of work and respond positively to feedback and coaching
