Responsibilities

Working cross-functionally with key stakeholders in product development, information technology, legal, cyber security, and enterprise risk to embed Privacy by Design (PbD)
Conducting Privacy Risk Assessments of regulations and laws (GLBA, GDPR, CCPA and other frameworks and regulations) to evaluate risks and propose mitigation controls/strategies
Performing Privacy Impact Assessments on new business initiatives and products to identify potential privacy risks
Providing guidance, oversight, and challenge to business stakeholders on privacy related risks, issues, and concerns
Manage systems for obtaining, recording, and tracking user consent for data collection and processing
Demonstrating excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Should have the ability and experience to draft clear and professional correspondence, policies and procedures and other documents of both legal and business nature
Staying abreast of relevant changes to rules/regulations and other industry news

Required

Demonstrated experience implementing Privacy by Design (PbD) practices and assessing Privacy risk in a Global Retail Financial Services organization
Specialized Privacy knowledge required for retail brokers offering retail services including managing consent processes and mechanisms
Establishing and maintaining compliance policies, procedures, and controls based on regulations and in accordance with requirements and processes
Providing Privacy advisory support to the business as a subject matter expert
Working cross-functionally with key stakeholders in product development, information technology, legal, cyber security, and enterprise risk to embed Privacy by Design (PbD)
Conducting Privacy Risk Assessments of regulations and laws (GLBA, GDPR, CCPA and other frameworks and regulations) to evaluate risks and propose mitigation controls/strategies
Performing Privacy Impact Assessments on new business initiatives and products to identify potential privacy risks
Providing guidance, oversight, and challenge to business stakeholders on privacy related risks, issues, and concerns
Manage systems for obtaining, recording, and tracking user consent for data collection and processing
Demonstrating excellent communication skills, both oral and written

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to interact effectively and cross-functionally with stakeholders at all levels
Ability to manage complexity, to effectively prioritize multiple projects, and work independently in a fast-paced environment
Outstanding analytical skills and attention to detail coupled with the ability to think strategically
Bachelor's degree in cyber security, information systems, or computer science
8+ years of privacy, data protection, audit or risk experience in a retail financial services organization
Understanding of global data privacy regulations, including the GDPR, GLBA, etc
Experience working cross-functionally on enterprise-wide programs
Experience working with remote / geographically dispersed teams

Preferred

CIPP/US, CIPT, CDPSE, CISA, or other relevant privacy / IT audit certifications preferred
