Responsibilities
Provide high-quality, actionable SEO guidance for content updates, aligned with GoodRx brand and editorial standards
Review, refine, and approve SEO recommendations from junior SEO contractors
Serve as a senior SEO resource for contractors, answering ad-hoc questions and unblocking issues
Create SEO content briefs for new content
Support follow-up trainings and reinforce SEO best practices across the contractor team
Execute and oversee internal linking initiatives
Conduct keyword research and competitor analyses to inform optimization strategies
Collaborate on and help refine ChatGPT-augmented outlines and other SEO workflows supported by Generative AI, ensuring outputs meet GoodRx quality and editorial standards
Apply awareness of evolving search features (e.g., AI Overviews, SERP enhancements) to inform optimization recommendations and content strategy
Perform SEO-related work directly in GoodRx’s CMS with minimal oversight
Take on ad-hoc SEO projects as needed to support team priorities
Qualification
Required
3+ years of hands-on SEO experience, with a strong focus on editorial/on-page SEO
Demonstrable experience optimizing both long- and short-form content in YMYL / healthcare spaces
Deep understanding of E-E-A-T and how it applies to health content
Demonstrated ability to review, evaluate, and improve the work of other SEO contractors
Strong keyword research and search intent analysis skills
Experience with internal linking strategies at scale
Familiarity with modern SERP features and the evolving search landscape, including AI-driven results
Comfortable with working directly in a CMS environment
Familiarity with SEO tools such as SEMrush (or similar)
Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines consistently
Preferred
Prior experience working with large editorial content libraries
Experience collaborating closely with editorial teams
Familiarity with GoodRx-style health content or similar consumer healthcare publishers
Experience training or mentoring junior SEO team members
