Law Department Intern - Summer 2026

Corning Incorporated is one of the world’s leading innovators in glass, ceramic, and materials science, seeking a motivated Law Intern to join their legal team for the summer of 2026. This internship provides an opportunity for law students to gain hands-on experience in a corporate legal environment, assisting with legal research, drafting documents, and supporting attorneys in case management.

Responsibilities

Assist with legal research and drafting legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, and briefs
Attend client meetings, court proceedings, and other legal events under the guidance of senior lawyers
Review and organize case files and manage case documents
Support attorneys in trial preparation and case management
Analyze and summarize legal issues for review
Assist in the preparation of legal opinions and advice
Maintain confidentiality of all legal documents and client information
Perform administrative tasks as required

Required

Enrollment in an accredited law school pursuing JD
Strong academic performance
Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills
Proficiency in using legal research software (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis)
Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
High level of professionalism and confidentiality
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong time management and organizational skills
Must be available for 10 weeks during Summer 2026 (May-July 2026)
Be willing to work at the posted job location
