Sterling Engineering is seeking a Quality Inspector for the 2nd Shift. The Quality Inspector will be responsible for performing visual inspections and using mechanical measuring tools to verify product quality against engineering drawings and specifications, ensuring product consistency and supporting a culture of quality on the shop floor.

Responsibilities

Perform visual inspections of incoming, in-process, and finished products
Use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, oscilloscopes, etc.) to ensure products meet specifications
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions to verify quality requirements
Document inspection results accurately and report non-conformances
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues
Maintain inspection equipment and ensure calibration is up to date
Follow safety and quality procedures at all times

Required

Prior experience in quality inspection, manufacturing, or a similar role
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
Proficiency with mechanical measuring tools (calipers, micrometers) and basic test equipment (oscilloscopes)
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Good communication skills and ability to work well with others
Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation
