The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses, develop additional courses, and participate in service to the Department and the School of Engineering.

Responsibilities
Teach undergraduate courses on topics such as mechanics, structural engineering, analysis and design, and structural materials
Develop additional courses as the civil engineering curriculum evolves to respond to the current and future needs of the civil engineering profession
Teach graduate level courses to students and professionals in the master’s programs
Participate in service to the Department and the School of Engineering, engaging in novel efforts to enhance their teaching mission and deepen undergraduate educational opportunities
Ensure continuation of the accreditation of the civil engineering program
Qualification
Required
Ph.D. degree in civil engineering (or closely related field)
prior teaching experience
professional experience
Professional Engineer (PE) licensure (or a plan to sit for the PE exam)
