The role involves collaborating with engineers to produce accurate technical drawings and documentation using CAD software.

Responsibilities
Using CAD software, such as Draftsite and SolidWorks, prepare models technical drawings
Working with engineers and other professionals to produce drawings that meet their specifications
Writing related technical documents such as material lists and cost estimates
Ensuring that all drawings are accurate and meet industry standards
Maintaining a library of standard drawing templates
Updating existing drawings as new information becomes available
Prepare and present designs at various design reviews using MS Word and PowerPoint
Produce other required design documentation
Understand nominal production processes
Manage multiple issues at one time and develop an integrated solution
Qualification
Required
This position requires U.S. Citizenship due to the sensitivity of customer related information
Education: Must have a associate's degree in the field of Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD), or a related field
Years of Experience: Must have minimum of 1 years of recent and related work experience
In lieu of degree: Candidates with 5 years of relevant work experience will be considered
Candidate must possess excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, leadership, and team working skills
Demonstrated skill in using computer-aided design (CAD)/drafting equipment and software in design work
Demonstrated ability to collaborate well with peers and cross-functional teams and external customers
Excellent computer skills (MS Windows & Office)
Preferred
Experience with Solidworks, Draftsite and PDM
Ability to examine and measure finished articles to verify conformance to standards
Familiarity with JSC-STD-8080, Design and Procedural Standards
