Quality Inspector-Structural

Responsibilities

Must be able to read plans, understand concrete form work and rebar drawings
Inspection of formwork for concrete erection/stripping, rebar installation, mass concrete thermal controls, mass concrete placement, conventional concrete placement, and concrete curing for various footing, walls, and elevated slabs, etc
Promote and maintain effective communications and relations (verbally and in writing) with district management, project management teams and engineers/clients as required
Examine and inspect field conditions to identify problems, inaccuracies and cost saving measures that arise or the may be encountered, take corrective action as needed
Identify potential safety hazards and take all necessary corrective actions to eliminate or minimize them

Required

At least 4 years engineering or science degree or technical college degree plus 2 years of experience in related construction field
2-5 years of experience in structural inspection
Working knowledge of construction practices, construction codes (ASME, AWS, ACI, etc) and non-destructive examination procedures
Ability to work in Microsoft Excel and other iOS applications
Strong organizational skills and the ability to perform a variety of tasks with deadlines and potentially frequent interruptions
Regular, reliable attendance
Work productively and meet deadlines timely
Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment
Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies
Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required
May work at various different locations and conditions may vary
