Site Safety Manager
Spero Engineering & Architecture is seeking a Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) to manage safety and occupational health on construction sites. The SSHO will ensure compliance with EM 385-1-1 standards and oversee safety management, inspections, and hazard analysis during construction activities.

Responsibilities
Oversee safety and health management on-site
Conduct surveillance and inspections to enforce safety compliance
Implement hazard analysis and develop necessary controls
Maintain a continuous presence during construction activities
The SSHO has no other duties and cannot serve as a Superintendent or Quality Control Manager
Qualification
Required
Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification
Minimum of 10 years of progressive construction safety experience
At least 5 years of experience on similar projects with EM 385-1-1 compliance
OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety course completed within the last 5 years
Five years of continuous safety supervision or management experience
Documentation of an average of 24 hours of formal safety training annually for the past 5 years
Competent person training in Excavation, Scaffolding, Fall Protection, Hazardous Energy, and Confined Space
Competent person training in Health Hazard Recognition and Personal Protective Equipment
Experience in civil and site work, utilities right-of-way, and traffic control
Proficiency with Procore and an awareness of Primavera P6
Preferred
US Citizenship is preferred; must be able to pass a background check for facility access
