Responsibilities

Support and execute on product vision, roadmap, and quarterly objectives
Define and drive release schedule, to coordinate & deliver CR's for both Configuration and the IT dev line
Transfer business outcomes into epics/features/stories for development, execution by IT line
Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, and release readiness in an agile environment
Govern release calendars, ensure UAT and provide sign-off on releases
Collaborate with architects on solution design and with QA on test strategy
Serves as the conduit between our teams, Nationwide Technology (The Force) and the SBS portfolio to ensure projects and enhancements are prioritized or backlogged
The Product Owner is responsible for coordinating with the Salesforce Product Manager, other Product Owners, Salesforce Leadership and Portfolio Leaders to define and prioritize projects, base camps, and requirements for the Salesforce Teams
Analyzes user needs, defines and documents business requirements, validates assumptions, evaluates solution options, partners with User Experience to create prototypes, leads proof of concepts, recommends appropriate solutions to Business Capability Manager
Provides business process expertise directly or by leveraging SMEs; Conducts current state and future state process analysis
Consistently reviews KPIs that measure effectiveness of the product and journey with customers. Provide insights to Business Capability Manager on areas of opportunity and/or focus
Leverage curiosity and questions to ensure you gain the right understanding of current process and potential go forward options
Keeps up on the latest industry trends as well as customer needs and behaviors
Continually leverage technical skills and expertise and teach/train less experiences team members
Participates in agile ceremonies, daily stand ups, show and tells, iteration planning and retrospectives
Execute design and development on business configurable tools where applicable in support of operational partners

Required

1-2 years of experience with Salesforce
Understanding of Nationwide Financial, its Associates, Customers and Partners are highly valued
Have a working knowledge of Salesforce and how its capabilities are leveraged across Nationwide Financial
Able to learn on the fly, adapt to a fast-paced environment and provide extraordinary customer service
Highly engaged, takes initiative, self-motivated
Organization & prioritization skills
Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
Great deal of probing/observational and problem-solving skills
Ability to develop strong working relationships with various business partners across levels of leadership
Able to juggle multiple tasks under tight deadlines & stressful situations
Bachelors degree in business, IT or related field
Typically, 5 or more years of demonstrated experience delivering initiatives and conducting customer research to inform value-based solutions
Experience executing in an agile environment, product-centric principles and managing mid-level initiatives
Sound knowledge of insurance industry, agile planning practices and customer design principles
Ability to analyze quantitative and qualitative information and summarize for consumption by all levels
Ability to develop recommendations and influence the strategic vision and multi-year roadmap
Strong business process design skills and ability to communicate findings in a clear and concise manner
Ability to work interpedently and manage intermediate to advanced tasks that span different subject matters
Strong oral and written communication skills are crucial

Preferred

Salesforce Administration Certification credential a plus (not required)
Advanced degree preferred
