Paralegal I

They are seeking a Paralegal I to support the Intellectual Property team by providing legal and administrative support to patent attorneys, with opportunities to develop foundational skills in intellectual property law.

Responsibilities
Assist patent attorneys with the intake and management of IP matters and correspondence
Support the preparation and filing of patent applications and related documents under attorney supervision
Draft standard forms, templates, and correspondence for attorney review and filing
Organize and maintain IP-related data, agreements, and documents utilizing applicable tools and systems within the Law Department, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with department procedures
Track deadlines, run reports, and assist with docket management for the patent team
Coordinate communications with internal stakeholders and external law firms
Conduct basic legal research and summarize findings for attorney guidance
Qualification
Required
Associate's degree or equivalent education required
1+ years of relevant work experience in a legal, administrative, or related support role
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to follow instructions, learn new processes, and apply feedback
Clear written and verbal communication
Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and willingness to learn new technology tools
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Team-oriented mindset and readiness to support colleagues
Preferred
Bachelor's degree or paralegal certification preferred
