Responsibilities
Lead and manage all firm-wide IT operations, infrastructure, and support functions
Provide advanced technical support to attorneys and staff across hardware, software, and connectivity issues
Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable IT systems aligned with firm growth
Administer and optimize firm-wide platforms, including Microsoft 365 (Outlook, OneDrive, SharePoint, Power Automate), document management systems, and legal practice management software
Oversee cybersecurity strategy, data protection, system backups, disaster recovery, and compliance with legal and regulatory standards
Manage user access controls, permissions, and security protocols for all systems
Oversee device provisioning, configuration, deployment, and lifecycle management
Maintain comprehensive IT inventory records for hardware, software licenses, and related assets
Lead technology-related onboarding and offboarding processes for employees
Manage and coordinate third-party vendors, MSPs, and technology service providers
Evaluate, select, and implement new technology solutions to improve productivity, efficiency, and security
Develop and document IT policies, procedures, and best practices
Monitor system performance, identify risks, and proactively address technical issues
Provide guidance, training, and technical leadership to staff as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred)
5+ years of progressive IT experience, including leadership or management responsibilities
Prior experience in a law firm or professional services environment strongly preferred
Deep understanding of networking, servers, cloud-based systems, and cybersecurity best practices
Extensive experience with Microsoft 365 administration and cloud collaboration tools
Familiarity with legal document management and practice management platforms (e.g., NetDocuments, Clio)
Proven experience managing vendors, budgets, and technology initiatives
Strong problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills
Excellent communication skills with the ability to support both technical and non-technical users
Self-directed, accountable, and capable of managing priorities in a fast-paced environment
