Responsibilities
Own end-to-end execution of substation and grid infrastructure projects following development handoff
Manage project controls including schedule, cost tracking, forecasting, risk, and change management
Coordinate engineering consultants, contractors, equipment suppliers, and internal stakeholders
Lead contractor selection, procurement support, and commercial negotiations including change orders
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, regulatory, and contractual requirements
Partner with safety leadership to maintain a zero-incident jobsite culture
Oversee permitting, utility coordination, and regulatory interfaces
Lead internal and external project meetings and provide regular status reporting
Resolve technical, commercial, and execution challenges throughout the project lifecycle
Support commissioning, energization, and final project closeout
Qualification
Required
2+ years of project management experience in electrical infrastructure, substations, or utility-scale power projects
5 years experience working on MV/HV substation projects
Experience managing projects through construction in active utility or industrial environments
Strong understanding of contracts, cost controls, scheduling and risk management
Ability to operate independently while coordinating across cross-functional teams
Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Familiarity with substation construction, high-voltage equipment and utility coordination processes
Experience working with EPCs, engineering consultants and equipment vendors
Proficiency with common project management tools and reporting systems
Strong documentation, organization, and follow-through skills
Comfort managing multiple workstreams and priorities simultaneously
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related technical field
