Case Manager
Responsibilities
Oversees all calendar deadlines and deposition scheduling
Assist litigation team in designing, implementing, and maintaining litigation databases
Serve pleadings, discovery, subpoenas, and document demands and file documents with the courts
Assist and Follow-up with new client questionnaire “care packages”, correspondence and documents to experts
Negotiate medical liens and contact to obtain documents regarding health insurance, social security, medical records, and medical providers
Organize and maintain all case files, and information concerning engagement, whether electronic or paper, in accordance with the law firm policies
Draft legal documents for attorney(s) review
Work with litigation team on communicating case status with clients and outside counsel as requested
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree Preferred
4+ years of related experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Self-starter with the ability to effectively manage multiple matters at once
Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet presentation, and case management software
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
Investigative mind and strong research skills
Working knowledge of legal database software
Experience in preparing legal reports
Discretion and confidentiality
Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Critical thinker with a proactive problem-solving approach
Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and staff
Quick learner and adaptable to new challenges
High emotional intelligence (EQ) is a significant advantage
