Responsibilities

Perform requirements elicitation using behavioral artifacts such as use cases that are used both to understand and to convey understanding of the required behaviors and performance of the system
Support the development and review of interface documents, system requirements, Verification Cross Reference Matrix (VCRM) development, architectural documentation, engineering estimates, and author and perform formal and informal engineering reviews
Candidate needs to have the ability to be flexible to support various tasking on short notice
Work will be performed under the direction of the C2BMC Systems Engineering Manager and Product Owner, the Core Systems Engineering team lead, and support various project engineers as well as to interface with team members, C2BMC management, and government customers to ensure high quality products are generated on time and within the resources available
Responsibilities include adhering to DOORS processes and procedures, reviewing the content and details of technical products, and acting as a technical interface to MDA working level counterparts as-required
Candidate will be actively involved in the efforts associated with Agile development including iteration planning, providing status, and supporting agile team leadership

Required

A final secret clearance is required prior to starting
Demonstrated ability to translate high level needs into a structured set of integrated requirements that resulted in a fielded product
Understanding of systems engineering processes and principles with a proven track record of applying them to develop solutions
Hands on experience in requirements elicitation, including the use of behavior diagrams, use cases, and other analysis tools
Proven capability to create core SE artifacts (specifications, Interface Control Documents, Use Cases, System Architecture Descriptions, Trade Studies, etc.)
Experience working in integrated, cross disciplinary teams of systems, software, and specialty engineers
Demonstrated skill in interacting with customers to gather requirements and with stakeholders to convey requirement intent

Preferred

Prior experience with Missile Defense Systems and familiarity with complex Command & Control systems
Experience working in an Agile development environment
Expertise in systems analysis, metric development, and architecture development
Exposure to behavior diagram based requirement decomposition and analysis
Ability to contribute to and lead Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, retrospectives, backlog grooming)
Excellent written and oral communication skills; adept at clearly presenting technical approaches and findings
Ability to author and execute engineering plans within a project environment
