Motion Recruitment is seeking a Project Manager for a Workday Implementation role. The successful candidate will lead the day-to-day execution of the Workday implementation, ensuring successful delivery while managing project governance and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

Own the Workday implementation plan, timeline, and resource allocation. Serve as the primary liaison between the SI and internal teams. Enforce project governance and change management processes
Coordinate across HR, Payroll, Finance, IT, and executive sponsors. Facilitate decision-making and escalate issues promptly. Provide regular status updates to CIO PMO and steering committee
Manage RAID logs (Risks, Actions, Issues, Decisions). Oversee testing, training, and deployment activities. Ensure knowledge transfer plan created for post-go-live support
Monitor project budget and resource utilization. Track SI deliverables and manage vendor relationship

Required

5+ years of Workday HCM experience, including at least one full-cycle implementation
3+ years of enterprise project management experience
Strong understanding of HR processes and systems
Proficiency in PM methodologies (PMBOK, Agile) and tools (Smartsheet, Jira)
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to influence without direct authority

Preferred

PMP certification or equivalent
Workday Pro Certified, ideally technical focused track
Experience with multiple Workday modules (Core HCM, Benefits, Payroll)
Strategic thinking and governance discipline
Strong risk management and problem-solving ability
