Responsibilities

Install, configure, and upgrade SQL Server instances and related database components
Monitor database performance and implement changes to improve efficiency and reliability
Perform regular database maintenance tasks such as backups, restores, indexing, and integrity checks
Manage database security by implementing access controls, encryption, and auditing
Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, including performance bottlenecks and connectivity problems
Collaborate with developers to optimize queries and support application development
Develop and maintain documentation related to database configurations, procedures, and policies
Plan and execute database capacity planning and disaster recovery strategies

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Proven experience administering Microsoft SQL Server databases in a production environment
Strong proficiency in T-SQL programming, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, and triggers
Strong knowledge of SQL language, database design, and normalization principles
Experience with database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning
Familiarity with performance tuning and optimization techniques for SQL Server

Preferred

Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), and SQL Server Analysis (SSAS)
