Responsibilities
Design and develop innovative furniture or garage storage products from concept through production
Conduct trend research and market analysis to identify opportunities and inform design direction
Create detailed 2D and 3D renderings, CAD drawings, and prototypes for presentation and development
Collaborate with the R&D and engineering teams to ensure design feasibility and production efficiency
Participate in materials selection and liaise with suppliers to ensure quality and cost targets are met
Assist in managing product life cycles, including improvements and updates to existing designs
Support marketing and merchandising teams with product visuals and specifications
Evaluate market performance of designs and adjust features or designs based on customer feedback and sales data
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree (required)
2+ years of experience in furniture design or garage/industrial product design
Proficient in CAD software, 3D modeling tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Rhino, SketchUp), and Adobe Creative Suite
Strong portfolio demonstrating creative design thinking and product execution
Understanding of design for manufacturability and cost-effective production
Excellent communication and project coordination skills
Ability to work full-time on-site in Irvine, California (relocation required before start)
Preferred
Knowledge of material sourcing, construction techniques, and manufacturing processes is a plus
