Accountant II
City of Tulsa is seeking an Accountant II to perform professional accounting work and lead accounting operations in a small organizational unit. The role involves reconciling bank and general ledger accounts, preparing financial statements, and participating in audit activities.
Responsibilities
Reconcile various bank accounts and general ledger accounts
Logs financial entries, maintains files, records, ledgers and related documents
Prepares financial statements and reports for various governmental funds
Lead and participate in the City audit and accounting activities
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
1 years of progressively responsible accounting experience
Bachelor's degree that meets the education requirements for CPA licensure and no experience
Knowledge of principles, practices and methods of accounting
Knowledge of modern office management procedures, practices and equipment as applied to accounting operations
Knowledge of data processing applications and use potential
Ability to analyze and interpret fiscal and accounting records
Make mathematical calculations with speed and accuracy
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders
