Responsibilities
Lead the execution of engineering scope across multiple strategic programs
Provide day-to-day leadership and tasking to a cross-functional engineering team
Support leadership in developing a product area strategy and associated execution plans
Work directly with program management to provide status on contract work, working to resolve issues and mitigate program risks
Carefully manage cost and schedule to drive efficient execution of program scope
Develop relationships with key program customers and stakeholders
Ensure that the engineering team understands all relevant security restrictions and developing the processes and training to support compliance
Support overall systems engineering activities, developing a broad technical knowledge of our products and their design
Support proposal development within the business area
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent technical discipline with a minimum of 5 years of related Project Engineering Management and Systems Engineering experience to be proficient in the above areas or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Requires a working knowledge of engineering processes related to Systems Engineering, Software Engineering and Cybersecurity
Proficiency with MS Office including Microsoft Project and associated applications is needed
Systems level block diagram capture tools such as Visio
Other related systems engineering tools
Must have demonstrated ability to build relationships and trust, both with internal and external stakeholders
Must be a strong communicator, both verbally and in writing
Must have demonstrated ability to effectively develop and communicate strategy to senior leadership
Need to be skilled to motivate and facilitate individuals and teams
Need to be a strong problem solver, able to identify the correct urgency and priority of various activities
Preferred
Cost and schedule management experience
Working knowledge of EVMS
Cross-functional team leadership experience, in particular balancing efforts between contract execution and R&D
Experience working classified and sensitive programs
