KC-46 Mission Systems Avionics Engineer (Mid Level and Senior)
The Boeing Company is seeking Mid-Level and Senior KC-46 Mission Systems Avionics Engineers to support engineering design, integration, test, certification, and hardware/software management for assigned mission systems avionics sub-systems. This role involves leading various engineering tasks to ensure compliance with operational and functional requirements for avionics systems.

Responsibilities
Leads the engineering design, integration, analysis, testing, and certification of the mission avionics systems to meet higher-level systems and platform requirements
Leads work with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements
Leads and coordinates work to analyze and translate requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs and interface specifications
Leads test and validation to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements
Oversees and monitors supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements
Solves problems and provides support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle
Researches technology advances for potential application to company business needs
Conducts technical issue investigations and Root Cause and Corrective Actions (RCCAs)
Qualification
Required
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required

Experience with data networks
Experience with communication systems (HF, VHF, UHF, SATCOM, datalink)
Experience with navigation systems (GPS, IFF, TACAN)
Experience with flight management systems
Experience with mission control systems
Experience developing requirements and performing requirements decomposition
Experience performing Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) process and implementing corrective actions
Experience with FAA airworthiness certification
Experience with Military airworthiness certification
Experience with Equipment Manager (EM) Responsibilities for Avionics Line Replaceable Units (LRUs)
Experience in Technical Subcontract Management (TSM) working with suppliers
Experience troubleshooting avionics equipment, general electronics, and/or aircraft systems
Experience with MIL-STD-1553 data bus analysis
