Responsibilities

Organize and implement CEI programming that advances the entrepreneurial and innovation goals of the university and MCCB
Align the CEI strategic direction to the Mike Cottrell College of Business strategic plan and the University's vision of becoming the most innovative, legacy-making university in the country
Provide leadership across five campuses to foster and support innovation, creativity, collaboration, and entrepreneurship at UNG
Engage students in experiential learning opportunities that foster entrepreneurial skills and critical thinking
Identify gaps in the existing entrepreneurial eco-system of North Georgia and facilitate paths to filling them
Engage and regularly update internal stakeholders, including the Management and Information Systems Department Head, colleagues within the department, and colleagues within MCCB
Grow and continue to engage the advisory board as advocates and collaborators of the mission of the CEI and as advocates for raising financial support for the CEI
Develop and execute an operational plan for the CEI, including budget management
Supervise administrative and student support staff

Required

Masters degree required, preferably in business, marketing or related field
Five years or more of operational management experience. Experience with various aspects of the entrepreneurial process is required, either through founding and managing entrepreneurial ventures or through academic research in entrepreneurship
Extensive experience in business development
Financial acuity and budget management knowledge
Strong operational and project management focus
Understand the complexity of an academic environment
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to make critical decisions
Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with a broad range of constituents
Ability to teach entrepreneurship topics to students
